Mummy Stuff | Birds Eye Chicken Space Shapes and BBQ Chicken Bites

Since my little girl started school, one of the most difficult tasks I have faced is coming up with meal ideas for her to eat after school. Before she leaves for school she has breakfast at 8am, then school dinners at roughly 12pm. By the time she returns home from school by 4pm she is hungry again. Question is, what do I give her as meal at that time? knowing she is off to bed by 8pm?
For the past few weeks I have been giving her two meals between that time. One upon her return at 4pm and another at 7:30. This seems to be working out well. ( On days she doesn't sleep off before I even get to make anything.
I have also found myself relying on frozen foods a lot because, well its a quick and easy option and she seems to enjoy it.
Birds Eye is one of my go to brands for frozen food and I cant wait to try their new Chicken Space Shapes and BBQ Chicken Bites. Made from 100 per cent chicken breast and free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives and costs just £2.69 per pack.

Review | Solidea Magic Maman Anti Cellulite Maternity Tights

I was contacted by Daylong and asked if I would be interested in reviewing a pair of maternity tights. After reading about the tights on the website, I was hesitant. Here is my reason why. On the website, it said "You should talk to your doctor about using compression products when pregnant". So I asked my contact to explain the reason.
Daylong disclose the following message on their website ‘please consult your doctor before wearing compression hosiery’ to be extra cautious and  highlight the fact people with the health issues listed below should consult a doctor, as compression therapy might not be recommended. These health issues include:

  • Ischaemia – lack of oxygen in the limbs
  •   Peripheral neuropathy – damage to the nerves in the legs
  • Diabetes – arterial disease
  • Cellulitis (an infection deep within the skin that causes swelling)

Anti cellulite, check. Soothes aching legs, check. Supports tummy and lower back, check. The list could go on for a while but I won't bore you with some of the reasons why I loved my maternity tights. With a light compression of 12-15mmHg ( this means unit of pressure by the way) and lined with a micromassage system, there is no doubt this tights was built for comfort. Also having lost my zeal to dress up due to the fact nothing fits, I was glad to have something that fits. Not only did it do all that was mentioned above like supports the tummy, it was also quite stylish. I received the Moka coloured pair which worked perfectly with a pair of boots I had in the same colour. The only downside I had with this product was dry cleaning. After wearing it a couple of times, I was ready to wash it, however there was no instructions on how this could be down. However, the tights are fitted with a Sanitised Hygiene Function which provides freshness.
Want a pair yourself? Simply visit Daylong.co.uk and to view their wide range of compression tights. Enter ‘BLOGDAYLONG’ at the checkout to get 20% off your selection. The code can be used once per person and expires on 31/12/13.

The first half term is upon us and some of us maybe planning on going away on a short break. Like the little helpful person that I am, I am doing a round up on family travel. I know how stressful travelling can be let alone with the kids. Evev, though going away should mean relaxing, touring and just having fun. Sometimes it can also be a nightmare that is why I am glad to present to you something that may make things simpler for you. Please note, I haven't tried this out so I cannot tell you how stress free it is. I heard about it and felt the need to share.

The service is called WeSwap and it is a Peer-to-Peer travel money exchange service. Basically, what WeSwap do is offer customers an alternative to get their chosen currency without the hassle of exchange rates or hidden costs.

There are four steps to follow:

-The site then swaps your currencies and loads your account with your destination currency
-You can then easily access the funds abroad using your WeSwap Prepaid MasterCard®, which you will be sent as soon as you sign up
